Sr Director, Software Development
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is focused on building the future of cloud for enterprises. They are seeking a Senior Director of Software Development to lead a team responsible for defining strategy, managing enterprise services, and ensuring operational excellence in software development.

Responsibilities
Apply extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, managing and operating enterprise applications and services, including Email, Calendar, Zoom, Telephony and Enterprise GenAI services, according to current and future design specifications
Build new capabilities and enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture
Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers
Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of vendor contracts, renewals and important matters to influence long-term strategy and policy
Demonstrate leadership and people management skills
Utilize strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline
8+ years people management and/or lead experience with at least 2+ years leading an organization including other managers or leads
Experienced leader and exemplary manager
Successfully demonstrates full responsibility for architecture, design, delivery and operations for components across a given product or service
Previous experience owning and improving quality of org-wide processes, with responsibility including roadmap planning, talent review and goal setting
Ability to obtain results through the people you lead, owning organizational structure, headcount planning, recruiting targets and performance management
Ability to attract high-value talent from outside the organization, with additional success developing and retaining top talent
Demonstrated ability to advocate for change

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
