Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of CAD Designers: assign tasks, review work, provide training, and ensure quality output
Oversee project timelines and ensure deliverables are completed within budget and schedule
Develop detailed and accurate drawings for ductwork, plumbing, and piping systems to support prefabrication and field installation
Utilize architectural and engineering models to create coordinated mechanical layouts, resolving clashes and optimizing system integration
Maintain and update BIM schedules across multiple projects
Collaborate closely with Construction Operations Managers, Sales Engineers, Superintendents, Project Managers, and General Contractors
Ensure mechanical systems are fully coordinated with building components to minimize field conflicts and maximize efficiency
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical coordination and design
Bachelor's degree (required)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit experience is a plus
Strong understanding of construction scheduling tools and workflows
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Willingness to visit job sites and climb ladders/stairs as needed
Preferred
Prior experience managing design teams
