They are seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support their Quality Engineering team at Federal Ammunition, where the intern will create work instructions, complete time studies, and assist in process improvement activities.

Responsibilities
Create work instructions and/or operating procedures for new and existing equipment and products
Complete time studies and capacity analysis for bottleneck equipment
Document machine change over tasks and troubleshooting guides to improve machine uptime
Support the Quality Engineering and Operations staff in process improvement activities
Qualification
Required
Engineering student in an accredited technical college or university. Prefer Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
Proficient at handling ambiguity and dealing with multiple priorities
Continuous improvement and results oriented
Strong interest in working for Federal Ammunition / The Kinetic Group
Preferred
Hands on experience with Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing concepts
CAD experience (SolidWorks)
Statistical problem solving skills such as DOE using Minitab
Small Caliber ammunition manufacturing experience
Experience using a variety of gages and/or measurement systems
Generate reports and summaries of data and work performed
Perform process capability studies as needed
Perform root cause analysis on manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
