Responsibilities

Help to maintain our reputation for technical excellence
Get on-the-job training, hands-on experience, plus all the support you need to gain industry-recognised qualifications
Spend time building your practical and theoretical knowledge of X-rays (radiography), ultrasonics, eddy currents, magnetic particle inspection and fluorescent penetrant inspection
Gain manufacturing and laboratory experience of these methods along with quality assessment techniques
Trained to lead your own technical projects and work with expert mentors to develop the skills you need to thrive
Selecting the optimal NDT method and conducting tests on parts
Ready for practical experiments, project planning, resource control, problem solving and gaining technical know-how
Learn how we use NDT in research and development along with the state-of-the-art technologies that enable us to rapidly detect defects, increase our throughput and reduce costs
Complete a variety of placements across our business, which will give you practical experience in various NDT methods
Expect to spend some time in our offices, solving technical issues and running projects to help our internal customers

Required

Five GCSEs which must include a minimum of Maths at grade 6/B, English Language at grade 4/C and Science (triple, double or single award excluding single Biology) at grade 4/C plus 2 others at grade 4/C
112 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either: 3 A-Levels to include Maths at a grade C minimum and a further STEM subject at grade C minimum
Acceptance of BTEC qualifications is reviewed directly by the training provider on a case-by-case basis. However, your BTEC must be in an Engineering discipline which must include either a distinction in Further Maths or have a Maths A-Level in addition to the BTEC at a minimum grade C
