National Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth, manage expenses, and expand Solotech’s market presence
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across assigned national accounts and/or territories
Collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Sales and existing Business Development Representatives to support and strengthen relationships with top accounts in the territory, ensuring continuity and growth
Participate in mentoring and developing Business Development Representatives
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
Perform needs assessments and prequalification to ensure Solotech is a good fit for targeted accounts
Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations to ensure alignment with processes and successful project execution
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through networking, referrals, and outbound efforts
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
Provide regular updates and forecasts to leadership on progress toward goals
Act as a Solotech representative at industry events, conferences, and meetings

Required

Minimum five (5) years in a sales position with an emphasis on business development
Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in a national or multi-regional capacity
Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting
Ability to manage and lead a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset
Able to translate complex details into a simple language that anyone can understand
Ability to multi-task with a sense of calm resolve
Great discretion, concern for confidentiality
Ability to solve complicated problems
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Well-developed organizational skills
