CDL-A Driver/Laborer

Responsibilities
Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles, mechanical systems, safety equipment, and emergency gear are in proper working order
Following all safety procedures when operating Car Haulers and securing cargo for transport using ropes, chains, binders, or covers
Inspecting loads to confirm cargo is properly secured and compliant with regulations
Maintaining accurate logs of vehicle service and repair status in accordance with state and federal regulations
Cleaning, fueling, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors
Collaborating with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients, the public, or stakeholders
Adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies while operating vehicles and equipment
Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly
Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs
Qualification
Required
Current and valid Class A CDL commercial license is required
Comprehensive knowledge of principles and methods for road transportation of vehicles
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective operations
Comprehensive knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation
Comprehensive knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance
Comprehensive knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including grammar, composition, and spelling
Monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper equipment functionality
Applying logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems
Flexibility to adjust work schedules as project demands
Must maintain a clean driving record
Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check
Work in various indoor and outdoor environments
Work in proximity to hazardous materials, loud noise, and/or extreme temperatures
Maintain stationary positions for extended durations as needed
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine or vehicle controls with precision
Ability to anticipate and time movements or vehicle adjustments in response to changes in the speed or direction of moving objects or surroundings
Perform various manual tasks, including reaching with hands and arms, ascending or descending ladders safely at heights of 10 feet or more, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, and repetitive movements
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies
Maintain focus and attention on tasks for extended periods without distraction
Demonstrate visual acuity and physical dexterity essential for performing the duties associated with the role
Quickly respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals
Comfortably wear personal protective equipment
Frequently navigate a busy environment
Occasionally carry, lift, move, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
