Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift
Niron Magnetics is scaling the world’s first advanced manufacturing process for the mass production of permanent magnets powered by its breakthrough material formulation. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance on production equipment, support troubleshooting, and assist with equipment modifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on production equipment, including performing preventative maintenance, supporting troubleshooting, spares and sustainment
Collect and evaluate operating data; work with engineering to determine process adjustments for optimal performance
Identify possible improvements for standard operating procedures and work with engineering to evaluate and potentially qualify any procedural changes
Follow and role model all safety rules, standard operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
Partner with Equipment and Facilities Engineering to support projects
Maintain and troubleshoot test and production equipment
Log and support the implementation of periodic maintenance (PM) schedules for multiple tools
Assist with equipment modification, set up, and qualification
Care for and clean process equipment and work areas
Troubleshoot equipment
Keep accurate and complete records of activities performed and assist the operations team with the generation process documentation needed for high volume manufacturing
Create and update process documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and preventative maintenance procedures
Provide training and hands-on guidance to other team members as processes are developed and scaled
Maintain a 'safety first' mindset, promoting and performing in accordance with Niron’s safety policies and procedures
Maintain a high ownership, customer focused, commitment to providing high quality product
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field
3-5 years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs
HAZMAT and/or Emergency Response training
Highly collaborative, enjoys working within a diverse team environment
Strong interpersonal communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
Ability to self-direct, troubleshoot basic problems, and address root causes
An innovative practical approach to equipment optimization
Demonstrated maintenance skills in a fast-growing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Comfortable working with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and software-based control systems
