Responsibilities
Support product designs in Siemens NX environment for 3D modeling and 2D drafting
Review battery requirements with product engineering teams to find the best options for product volume, weight, and run time
Support product prototyping, assembly, and testing
Create statistical tolerance, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing analyses
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experience
3+ years of mechanical engineering and product design experience
Proficient with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and 2D drafting
Experience with PCB / flex design
Good understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and GD&T
Fluent in written and spoken English
Background in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is a fundamental requirement for this role, as it provides the necessary foundation in design principles, mechanics, and materials science
Experience with Consumer Electronics: Familiarity with consumer electronics is essential, as it demonstrates an understanding of the industry's specific challenges, trends, and requirements
Proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting: Proficiency with Siemens NX is a critical skill, as it enables the creation of detailed designs, models, and prototypes
