Senior Accountant
Confidential Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The role involves overseeing corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of month-end, quarterly and annual closing including journal entries and preparation of required financial statements
Produce accurate cost accounting reports as needed
Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities
Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Maintain strict adherence to deadlines
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of BS in Accounting and/or Finance
Minimum of 3 years experience
Minimum of 2 years experience working with NetSuite ERP system
Strong analytical skills
Effective time management and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated problem-solving skills including investigation, documentation, and resolution skills
Strong excel skills including advanced ability with formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
Solid understanding of accounting practices
Knowledge of GAAP, chart of accounts, and corporate financial procedures
Good written/verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment or work independently
Preferred
Master's, MBA, or CPA
