Responsibilities
Responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting
Serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes
Includes data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support
Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation
Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external mandates such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use
Has technical knowledge of all phases of applications system analysis and project management
Acts as project coordinator for medium sized projects with medium budgets and may or may not have system-wide implications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or four years direct experience in lieu of degree
Knowledge of Professional Billing areas such as: Charge Router Work queues, Claim edit Work queues and Bundling, Financial Clearance, Estimates, Reimbursement Contracts, Follow-up Work queue Configuration, Payer-Specific Configuration, Charge Handler, Epic Willow/Pharmacy Application, Rx Payer and Estimates, Major Medical and Rx Payer Filing, RPB2400i: Home Infusion Billing badge
Must obtain training required to support primary application (e.g., Epic Willow Inpatient, Epic Willow Ambulatory, Epic Beacon, epic Ambulatory, Epic Compass Rose, Epic Willow Inventory, Omnicell) within 6 months
