Responsibilities
Prepare and process all domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL and other carriers and couriers
Determine appropriate carrier and method of shipment required to meet internal and external customer demands
Maintain internal databases including intranet and ERP system to ensure accurate shipping history
Work with internal customers to resolve customer service issues, including, but not limited to: shipping errors, order entry errors, late orders, packing slip/part count/PO discrepancies
Proactively communicate shipping issues to customer service for resolution
Support other departments (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service) with preparing and shipping tradeshow supplies, marketing materials, and samples by requested ship method
Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance
Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, pliers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
Ability to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads
Strong sense of urgency
Solid customer service skills
Preferred
2+ years of shipping and receiving experience
Forklift experience
Experience using UPS, FedEx shipping software preferred
Experience with international shipments preferred
