Sr. Analyst, Energy Purchasing
Saint-Gobain North America is seeking a Senior Analyst in Energy Purchasing to support their energy procurement strategy. The role involves data analytics, market insights, and collaboration with stakeholders to optimize purchasing decisions while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
Responsibilities
Coordination with Energy consultants and sites to collect and analyze load profiles, energy usage and spend data, develop financial evaluation models and forecasts, Energy Budgets
Continuous monitoring of energy markets, pricing, demand, new technologies development and regulatory changes that might impact procurement decisions, risk management and compliance
Provide updates and opportunities for utility rebate and incentive programs and act as the central SME for all utility-related matters
Maximize recovery of all eligible tax benefits from Canadian tax incentives
Contracting and implementation support
Manage RFQ, RFP process for Gas supply, electricity supply, on-site renewables, energy efficiency services and other supply and services under the energy category
Support the company energy management and sustainability strategy focused on Energy Usage, Decarbonization, and Energy Security/Resiliency
Vendor Performance and Compliance, Onboarding & Offboarding of Vendors, maintain an updated list of vendors and utilities
Oversee third-party utility bill management / pay program, ensuring a smooth collaboration to resolve missing bills and account access issues between the plants, Accounts payable and the service provider
Set up new accounts / sites and close utility accounts
Develop relevant reports to internal stakeholders (dashboards, presentations)
Maintain and enhance the Energy SharePoint site by sharing success stories and communications for internal stakeholders
Lead the contracts repository management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience in the required field
3-5+ years' experience in a procurement or energy related role required
Energy Market knowledge
Strong analytical and forecasting skills; proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools
Energy Management & Decarbonization
Utility Data Energy Usage Analysis
Energy Supply, Solar/Renewables/Distributed Generation Purchasing & Contracting
VPPA Contracting & Economic Modeling
REC Purchasing
Energy Budgeting
Preferred
3-5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, utility, or energy company preferred
AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred
AEE Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) preferred
