Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. The successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems.

Responsibilities

Design the installation of aircraft Equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; Design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; Design installation of aircraft Fluid and Electrical routing and associated bracketry
Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations
Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces
Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations
Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.)

Required

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
Must be a US Citizen
This position will require a government security clearance

Preferred

Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting
Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting
Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
Experience with metallic design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
