Teams Squared is seeking a senior legal professional to serve as the Head of Legal with a specialization in employment law. This role involves advising on employment law matters, supporting internal teams and client organizations in minimizing risk, and shaping policies related to employee relations and compliance.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice on employment law matters including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, workplace policies, and disputes
Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, severance agreements, and contractor agreements
Support internal and client-side HR and leadership teams with employment-related legal strategy, compliance, and risk mitigation
Assist in resolving workplace disputes including harassment claims, employee grievances, and investigations
Advise on global and regional employment law compliance, particularly in Australia or other common law jurisdictions
Monitor legislative and regulatory updates related to employment and provide timely recommendations
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations) and external legal counsel when necessary

Required

Law degree and valid legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction
5+ years of experience practicing employment law

Strong understanding of workplace regulations, contracts, and employee rights
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Exceptional legal drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Experience with multinational or remote teams
