Junior Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Assisting with Daily Cycle Counts and making adjusting entries once approved
Processing Daily Rework and Returns Scrap activity
Monthly Reconciliation of General Ledger to Subledger for Accounts Receivable and Payables
Maintaining and Reconciling Consignment Inventories
Entering and preparing Monthly Journal Entries
Processing Frame Invoice’s into ERP system
Verifying Frame Costs in ERP system
Verify frame invoice cost to PDM & contact vendors to resolve issues
Verifying Freight & Tariff rates
Analysis of various Balance Sheet accounts
Monthly Small balance write offs for Receivables and Payables
Assist in preparation of Financial Reporting packages
Entering Prices increases
Maintaining Customer Discount Groups
Preparing monthly Travel and Expenses report for Various Departments
Preparing monthly Selling Cost of Sales report
Entering yearly budget in to ERP system
Back up for Accounts Payable
General Support to the entire Accounting team

Qualification

Accounting principlesERP system proficiencyMicrosoft ExcelTeamworkCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
1+ years of experience with basic accounting and financial practices
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Excel
Strong team player skills with close attention to detail
Ability to adapt to new accounting programs and procedures with minimal supervision
Ability to reconcile data in order to maintain accurate records
Ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
Ability to work as a team member
Proficiency in the use of computer and related office equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality
