Senior Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

Perform civil engineering reviews, including storm water drainage, sanitary sewer systems, road design, and earthwork
Support preparation and review of site layout, grading, and preliminary drainage designs
Prepare and review technical specifications to define construction requirements
Advise power project developers
Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects independently to support financing
Develop technical reports for applicable audiences – including owners, developers, governmental agencies and committees, and financiers

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
8+ years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, calculations, and models
5+ years of experience in detailed design of site grading and drainage, storm sewer systems, road design, transport plans, track design, and ponds
Power plant (combined cycle, simple cycle, nuclear, wind, solar) project design experience
Experience in writing and providing support documentation for Civil Engineering specifications or calculations
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to prioritize multiple parallel, fast-paced tasks within schedule and assigned budget
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical evaluation report writing
Proficiency with civil engineering software programs such as Civil 3D, StormCad, PondPack, and Mircrostation or AutoCad. Must be capable of working in geospatially located tools

Preferred

Professional Engineering (PE) license
Data analysis and visualization
Project finance or business acumen
Conceptual project design
Construction project management and/or scheduling software knowledge
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others
Project planning, leadership, and organizational skills
