They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of CPG clients, focusing on month-end close tasks, financial statement preparation, and client interaction.

Responsibilities
Prepare and execute monthly close tasks: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and inventory adjustments
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and variance explanations
Work daily in QuickBooks Online (QBO)—post transactions, maintain accuracy, and ensure proper classifications
Support integration workflows across tools: Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, Cin7 Core, SPS, Shopify, Amazon
Help streamline processes and improve the monthly close calendar
Support the accounting for trade promotions, distributor deductions, and chargebacks
Reconcile 3PL statements and EDI reports with client sales and inventory systems
Assist with gross-to-net revenue schedules and channel profitability reporting
Serve as a day-to-day support contact for clients on transactional and accounting-related questions
Provide clear explanations of accounting items to non-finance stakeholders
Partner with Accounting Managers on close timelines, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide guidance
Help document SOPs and contribute to building scalable accounting processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within CPG, wholesale, e-commerce, or multi-channel environments
Solid working knowledge of QBO, including journal entries, reporting, and common integrations
Strong understanding of month-end close process and U.S. GAAP fundamentals
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, client-service environment
Strong communication skills and comfort discussing financial concepts with clients
Preferred
Experience with inventory management systems (Cin7, DEAR/CartonCloud, NetSuite, etc.)
