This role will involve preparing appraisal reports, reviewing valuations, and providing technical expertise to support the appraisal team.

Responsibilities
Perform and document detailed property market value analyses, including high-value and complex properties, and present findings to the VP, Valuation
Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports, including property inspections, legal descriptions, and supporting data
Review escalated AMC valuations based on value and complexity, completing Desk Review forms with accurate research from online real estate sources and public records
Stay updated on appraisal standards, regulatory, and licensing requirements; support the team in maintaining compliance
Develop and lead training sessions to keep the team informed of industry standards and ensure continuous learning
Support team performance by identifying training needs, mentoring staff, and promoting standards for quality and productivity
Collaborate with Valuations and Sales teams to align performance expectations and department goals
Assist the VP, Valuation, and Team Lead in identifying performance gaps and proposing corrective actions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
6-10 years of real estate appraisal experience required
Experience in appraising in various regions is required
USPAP and Appraiser Independence Requirements knowledge
State Certification, Residential or General License required
Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office, specifically Excel
Strong valuation skills
Proven exceptionally strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Organized self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent project management capacity
Anticipates potential future problems and implements actions to prevent them
Proactive research to understand issues and evaluate options
Problem detection, investigation and resolution focused
Personal effectiveness and credibility
Results driven, thorough and high ethical conduct
Customer and client focus
Preferred
Master's Degree preferred
Prior experience with NonQM, short sales, REOs, title insurance background, and understanding preferred
A professional designation is a plus
