5+ years expRight At School is seeking a Payables & General Ledger Accounting Manager to lead the company’s expense cycle, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all expense accounts. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally, collaborating with multiple teams to support the Accounts Payable and Financial Close process while overseeing a direct report.

Responsibilities
Oversee the full Accounts Payable lifecycle, including vendor relations, processing, and payment runs
Manage all expense-related general ledger accounts, specifically focusing on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and all Selling, General, and Administrative (SG&A) expenses. This includes preparing and reviewing complex accruals for self funded employee benefits and revenue sharing calculations
Ensure timely and accurate 1099 filings
Provide direct support for external audit requests and assist with gathering documentation for tax return preparation
Ensure proper capitalization, amortization, and depreciation schedules
Maintain and enforce strong internal controls over all disbursement and expense reporting processes
Other projects and tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Accounting experience
CPA required
A resourceful self-starter mindset with a proven record of taking initiative and ownership over processes
Strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects/tasks
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and highly communication-driven team environment
Ability to apply problem-solving skills independently and complete effective research as needed
Proven track record of accurate and on-time delivery of responsibilities with exceptional time-management skills
A passion for process improvement and the ability to build scalable processes
Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
Strong ability to effectively communicate
Preferred
NetSuite experience is preferred
Ramp experience is preferred
