Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain detailed manual test cases and plans based on functional requirements
Conduct thorough manual testing, including regression, smoke, and exploratory testing, to identify and document software defects
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testability
Track and manage defects efficiently using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira, providing clear and actionable reports
Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and review sessions within an Agile framework
Perform regression testing following bug fixes and new feature deployments to ensure stability
Assist in risk analysis, impact assessments, and validation of configuration changes and deployments
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and team efficiency
Share knowledge and coach team members to foster a quality-driven mindset

Required

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and smoke testing
Ability to create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans
Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira
Solid knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills for defect reporting and team collaboration
Attention to detail with an ability to identify edge cases and potential issues
Hands-on experience with API testing (using tools like Postman is a plus)
Proficiency with SQL and database queries
Experience with large-scale regression suites and prioritizing tests for high-risk areas
Understanding of impact analysis concerning upgrades and migrations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively
Coaching skills and ability to promote a testing mindset among colleagues
Availability for onsite work three days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) at the office
Strong collaboration skills and adaptability to a fast-evolving environment
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and process improvement

Preferred

Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
Familiarity with server architecture, particularly on Windows platforms
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure
Awareness of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Basic scripting and automation skills for testing efficiency
Understanding of configuration management and deployment impacts
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
4+ years of professional QA/testing experience, with proven success in manual testing environments
Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Agile/Scrum certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
