Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and manages new project requirements, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow
Conduct research to develop new and/or improve existing processes within Wheel, Axle, Bearing and Parts facilities in terms of delivered results, safety, and quality
Testing and monitoring equipment
Updating current system processes
Conducting risk assessments
Developing and implementing process strategies
Designing and planning equipment layout
Managing process resources
Optimizing current processes
Maintaining process documents
Ensuring the smooth functioning of production lines
Coordinating process improvement projects
Focusing on designing, optimizing, and operating various industrial processes
Delegates daily duties to the workforce to keep current and upcoming projects on task
Administers internal and external material movements
Executes ERP system requirements
Provides weekly and monthly reports on project status; develops and maintains reporting for various stakeholders in current projects as required
Performs additional job-related duties as assigned

Required

BS mechanical or engineering degree
3-5+ years of experience working in project planning, estimating, accounting, QMS, logistics, EHS and general management in many positions
Training in Lean Manufacturing and Auditing
Understanding of various facets of the company: production supervision, supply chain, quality, engineering; HR, finance, etc.; ability to interface with support groups and understand how each function to manage team effectively
Project management experience
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Courage to make challenging decisions
Understanding of production process and SOP's
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work together in a team environment
Ability to manage a diverse workforce
Understanding of scheduling and manpower planning
Strong proficiency in software applications and ERP systems
Strong proficiency with Excel and other MS Office tools
