Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist (CWL)

They are seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist to collaborate with engineers, conduct testing, and ensure the successful delivery of critical systems for the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities
Collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration
Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups within Progeny and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests
Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions
Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities
Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates
Reporting to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work
Crafting comprehensive test procedures
Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes
Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems
Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps
Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities
Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities
Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience)
Must have experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Proficiency in software testing and analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred
Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset
Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
