The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Admissions and Recruiting Counselor to represent the university in new student recruitment and assist in the evaluation of applicants. The role involves conducting admissions interviews, providing feedback to applicants, and meeting with prospective students to discuss program options and admissions criteria.

Responsibilities

Assist carious admissions committees in reviewing and recommending initial admissions decisions

Assist in scheduling and, as needed, conduct onsite admissions interviews and maintain interview notes to add to the applicant's file

Be responsible for providing feedback to applicants throughout all stages of the admissions process

Meet with prospective students, individually or in groups, to provide information on graduate program options, admissions criteria, and processes

Review transcripts with prospective applicants in efforts to preliminarily evaluate their prerequisite completion as necessary

Track application through carious steps and departments, and ensure it is processed and returned in a timely fashion, with follow-up as necessary

Maintain communication with students after matriculation and before initial term start

Required

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of experience

Ability to travel both on-campus and throughout the region, as necessary to attend recruitment events and meetings

Ability to work extended hours

Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement
