Responsibilities

Primary responsible for responding to RFQs by preparing and delivering customized technical and commercial proposals within defined timelines
Establish price for goods and services, maximizing opportunity margin
Perform valve selection, sizing, costing, terms and condition review
Review customer’s technical specifications to select suitable products and determine if the application and requirements are within our Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing capabilities
Play a key role in the development and implementation of sales strategies for sales opportunities in the region of responsibility
Coordinate with customers, Outside Sales, and Agent Partners to technically sell prospective customers valve products offered in new construction and plant level sales opportunities
Organize and leads contract Risk Reviews and obtains all technical and contractual approvals as required
Confer with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement to establish lead time
Respond quickly and accurately to customer questions and clarifications pertaining to quotations
Understand competing products and leverage our technical advantages to increase sales and profitability
Contribute to the success of the company by identifying the needs of our customers and staying alert to changes from our competitors
Conduct occasional face-to-face meetings with customers to present technical solutions and close sales on high value projects
Manage RFQ, quote, customer, and order data in Sales Force

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and four to seven years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
External focus with a drive to understand and meet customer needs – able to present a polished 'face to the customer'
Demonstration of ownership, initiative, clear thinking, and self-motivation
Strong oral and written communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers
Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
General understanding of nuclear power plants and the basics of control valves and applications
Computer Skills - Proficient with MS office suite and basic computer literacy
Technical skills – Ability to read manufacturing drawings, P&ID's, piping ISOs and understand nuclear power plant systems

Preferred

Understanding of nuclear industry culture and expectations is a plus
Experience with valve sizing software, Salesforce, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD is a plus
Familiarity with ASME Nuclear Quality program, ASME III, NQA-1, 10 CFR 21 reporting requirements, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B program experience is a plus
