Warranty Engineer

They are seeking a highly motivated Warranty Engineer to evaluate warranty and quality data, identify emerging issues, and drive actionable insights to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end process of warranty claims, including validation, submission, and tracking. Proactively follow through on responsible activities along with required documentation to meet milestones and deliverables
Perform detailed claim reviews with the customers and negotiate liability
Track creation and completion of 8Ds in Forvia’s e8D and QSS tools. Support and/or lead cross-functional teams to ensure Warranty claim 8Ds are updated and completed within the required timing. Transversalize lessons learned through the organization to prevent recurrence
Analyze warranty data, identify trends, and create reports for management and customers to support warranty cost reduction efforts
Work with operations, quality, engineering, and supplier development teams to resolve issues and improve product reliability
Communicate with internal cross-functional teams and customer teams on warranty issues
Act as a technical contact for customers, update them on claim status, and help resolve customer-related warranty issues. Travel to internal and customer sites for warranty parts reviews
Ensure all warranty procedures and documentation are accurate and adhere to company and customer policies
Promote & maintain an organized work environment per company policy
Apply safety standards in everyday work activities per company policy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management
Strong background in engineering, manufacturing, or supplier quality
Proven ability to standardize processes and deliver results aligned with quality objectives and key performance indicators
Ability to analyze warranty data, identify trends, and create reports for management and customers
Effective communication skills to communicate with internal cross-functional teams and customer teams on warranty issues
Ability to manage the end-to-end process of warranty claims, including validation, submission, and tracking
Experience in performing detailed claim reviews with customers and negotiating liability
Experience in tracking creation and completion of 8Ds in warranty management tools
Ability to work with operations, quality, engineering, and supplier development teams to resolve issues and improve product reliability
Ability to ensure all warranty procedures and documentation are accurate and adhere to company and customer policies
Ability to promote and maintain an organized work environment per company policy
Ability to apply safety standards in everyday work activities per company policy
Willingness to travel as required and authorized
