Responsibilities

Responsible for the stripping, buffing and waxing of floor surfaces throughout the hospital in accordance with safety and sanitation practices set forth by guidelines provided
May also assist in general housekeeping duties such as room/office cleaning; restroom maintenance, trash collection, or other duties as assigned

Qualification

Floor care experienceJanitorial experienceEffective interpersonal skillsWritten communicationVerbal communication

Required

Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to read and write well enough to identify chemical agents, follow strict isolation procedures and complete paperwork
Ability to plan and execute floor care projects with minimal guidance from the supervisor/manager of EVS
Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to communicate housekeeping activities with patients, staff and visitors

Preferred

High School Diploma
Less than 2 years Minimum of one year of janitorial and floor care experience, preferably in a health care setting
