Intern, Operations Electrical Engineering

As an intern in Operations Electrical Engineering, you will assist in troubleshooting high voltage electrical faults and support the operations of wind, solar, and storage assets while gaining hands-on experience in the clean energy industry.

Responsibilities
Assist engineers with electrical troubleshooting, including review of digital fault records, relays, and other operational data for planned and unplanned electrical events
Collaborating with site personnel, contractors, equipment manufacturers & consulting engineers for electrical issues at wind, solar, and battery storage facilities
Assist operating facilities with electrical procedure development
Assist in reviewing and organizing as-built site documentation including electrical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, electrical studies, test reports, and relay settings
Assist the engineers with troubleshooting electrical issues affecting generation technology, including wind turbines, solar panels, and battery systems
Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing safety and improving operational efficiency
Collaborate with Senior Engineers in performing root cause analyses to identify potential future risks and drive fleet-wide corrective action plans
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027
Majoring in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector
