Responsibilities

Management of engineers in our Seattle office
Define and evolve the Dev Productivity roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering leadership
Lead the team through ambiguous problem spaces, turning loosely defined needs into concrete plans and shipped improvements
Stay hands-on with technical design and architecture to guide high-quality engineering decisions
Align the team with business and product goals by working closely with product management
Ensure predictable delivery and operational excellence of the components the teams ship
Facilitate communication across teams and status reporting for critical projects
Hire and retain talent
Hold a high bar for engineering excellence

Required

5+ years experience managing a high performing team
Additional 5+ years experience as an IC software developer
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy (self-motivated, organized) and the ability to work remotely across time zones
Experience building or scaling developer productivity, developer tooling, platform, or internal tools teams
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in greenfield or highly ambiguous environments
Strong technical judgment and comfort guiding architectural decisions for complex systems
Experience hiring and growing teams from early stages
