OPS Computer Technician
University of Florida is seeking a Computer Technician for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) IT. The role involves installing and imaging workstations, as well as providing desktop support to faculty, staff, and graduate students.

Install/image workstations
Provide desktop support via office visits, phone, and email to faculty, staff, and graduate students
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must display a professional appearance and demeanor, as well as maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to this position
Must be able to work well in a team environment
Extensive computer hardware and software knowledge
Regular assembly and repair of workstations from parts/components
Installation and configuration of operating systems, peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and software applications such as Microsoft Windows 11, MacOS, Microsoft Office Suite, Cloud environments such as OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive, Google Chrome, Adobe Acrobat, and more
Preferred
The ability to work quickly and efficiently, multitask, and meet deadlines is critical
Integrity, punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to learn technology quickly, are a must
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interact with individuals of many different backgrounds
Practical experience with imaging computers and Active Directory is a plus
Experience with tablets and smartphones is a plus
