Housing and Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of workforce housing facilities, including dormitories, apartments, and shared accommodations
Oversee room assignments, move-in/move-out processes, and tenant relations for all housed team members
Maintain accurate occupancy records and ensure compliance with housing policies and local regulations
Coordinate housekeeping, pest control, waste management, and security services within housing facilities
Develop and enforce community standards that promote safety, respect, and a positive living environment
Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repair programs for all housing buildings, infrastructure, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet brand and regulatory standards
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime or inconvenience
Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, monthly/quarterly maintenance services
Develop and manage the housing and maintenance budget, including utilities, repairs, and improvement projects
Track costs and resources to ensure efficient operation within budgetary guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, safety reports, and compliance audits
Supervise maintenance technicians and support staff
Foster a culture of guest-like service for team members residing in housing facilities
Ensure compliance with all local building codes, fire and life safety regulations, and brand standards
Implement and monitor safety programs and emergency procedures
Work closely with People Operations and Security to address housing concerns or incidents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience managing a property
Knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Budget management and cost-control expertise
Commitment to safety, sustainability, and service excellence
Preferred
5+ years in facilities, maintenance, or housing management, in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment preferred
OSHA, CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or equivalent safety/engineering credentials
