Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer 1 – Transmission & Distribution Assets
EPRI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure team. This role supports the development, manufacturing, testing, and deployment of advanced T&D asset monitoring systems, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance reliability and performance.

Responsibilities
Execute tasks related to the design, development, and testing of advanced T&D asset monitoring systems
Take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer value
Collaborate closely with the lead engineer and broader team to ensure project success
Be coachable, receptive to guidance, and demonstrate a strong work ethic
Communicate effectively within the team and across stakeholders
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental standards during testing and deployment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred
Associate degree with relevant experience in electrical or mechatronics engineering
Strong interest and aptitude in one or more of the following areas: Data analytics and interpretation, Programming and coding for embedded systems (e.g., PLCs, microprocessors), Electrical and environmental testing of systems, Mechanical packaging of electronic systems for harsh environments, Assembly and testing of electronic systems, Data acquisition and monitoring
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to quality, customer focus, and continuous improvement
