Mid, Senior LevelBen Aris is seeking a Corporate Process Controls Engineer to join their flexible engineering team. The role involves enhancing automation and control system performance across various chemical manufacturing sites in the U.S., requiring expertise in DCS, PLC, and advanced process control systems.

Responsibilities
Serve as the corporate expert for DCS, PLC, SIS, and advanced process control systems
Develop, maintain, and roll out corporate automation standards and best practices
Lead control system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives
Support site engineers with troubleshooting, tuning, network issues, and system performance
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, IT, and Engineering across multiple locations
Oversee system integrators, review design packages, and validate control logic
Contribute to capital projects ensuring automation strategy is aligned with safety, reliability, and business needs
Drive cybersecurity compliance and automation lifecycle management
Mentor and train site controls/automation personnel
Qualification
Required
Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Controls, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with process controls in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar industries
Strong proficiency with DCS/PLC platforms and control system troubleshooting
Ability to support multiple sites remotely and travel as needed (~20%)
Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with SIS, APC, or cybersecurity practices is a plus
