Senior Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Process 1

The role involves interfacing with suppliers and customers to identify necessary technologies for new product development and scalable manufacturing, while also developing strategic supplier relationships.

Responsibilities
Engage with product development and manufacturing staff to identify the necessary technologies needed to deploy customer solutions requiring higher levels of performance
Research and implement advanced manufacturing techniques to achieve necessary quality performance and process yields
Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues, drive corrective actions and ensure customer focused quality solutions
Create and maintain technical and process documentation to ensure that advanced technical concepts are understood by the broader organization
Develop appropriate safety protocols by collaborating with process engineering, facility staff, contractors and suppliers
Use 3D modeling methods to analyze technical designs and communicate concepts
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in semiconductor and fiber communication and incorporate new technologies into Celestica capital planning and execution
Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions
Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to achieve program objectives
Create a project/change management plans to ensure that the project are delivered within the assigned time and budget
Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plans
Demonstrate 'People & Team Leadership Behaviors' as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives
Mentor and lead peer engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Act as a subject-matter expert, guiding teams in adopting best practices in electronics manufacturing
Employ innovative approaches to resolve complex manufacturing challenges
Collaborate across departments to implement robust, cost-effective solutions
Stay updated on emerging industry trends and technologies to enhance process capabilities
Serve as the primary technical interface for internal and external customers, addressing concerns and presenting solutions
Conduct technical reviews, process demonstrations, and progress presentations tailored to customer requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing business success
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience in electronics design and manufacturing
Strong background in Semiconductor process technology
Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions
Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to achieve program objectives

Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or closely related field
