Responsibilities
Assures Quality conformance to specifications and expectations for all products and processes
Executes the disposition of held goods (raw, finished, and in process), and communicates with the Quality Manager regarding holds, rework, destruction, etc
Applies the principles of our Safe Quality Foods (SQF) programs
Develops/trains quality team members and other plant personnel in quality awareness, food safety, and other related areas
Performs auditing and monitoring of SQF program effectiveness and conformance
Performs plant food safety, GMP, and quality audits according to program
Reviews and signs quality and food safety documents
Investigates and responds to consumer and customer complaints as assigned by Quality Manager
Coordinates with the plant QA Manager and corporate FSQA personnel on program development and review, root cause analysis, and software program implementation
May perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others individually and in team setting
Strong leadership skills are essential
Excellent verbal and written skills
Good problem solving, analytical, & trouble shooting skills required
Ability to work in Microsoft Office efficiently (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must have or must be capable of acquiring PCQI and SQF Practitioner certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree is a science or related field is preferred
Three years' experience in food manufacturing or a related field is preferred
