Adjunct Instructor – Undergraduate General Education Course in Workforce Financial Skills
Penn State University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for their Workforce Education and Development program to teach undergraduate courses in financial skills. The role involves delivering instruction, supporting student learning, and evaluating student progress in personal financial planning and related topics.

Responsibilities
Deliver weekly in-person and/or hybrid instruction following approved course syllabus and objectives
Support student learning of core financial concepts, quantitative reasoning, and practical financial skills
Develop and facilitate applied learning activities including calculations, analysis, and scenario-based work
Evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects
Maintain timely student grading and records through Canvas
Hold weekly office hours, in person or via Zoom
Submit final grades according to university policies
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in: Personal finance, Finance, Accounting, Business, Workforce development / workforce education, or closely related field
Experience teaching or training young adults or adults
Preferred
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred
Professional experience in financial advising, financial coaching, accounting, HR benefits, retirement planning, or related areas
Experience teaching undergraduate or general education courses
Experience teaching quantitative subjects
Familiarity with Canvas
