Commercial Building Inspector - Peach County, GA (FT OR PT) - EVG
Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a Commercial Building Inspector for Peach County, Georgia. The successful candidate will perform daily inspections on residential and commercial construction projects and maintain detailed records of all inspections and compliance cases.

Responsibilities
Performs scheduled assignments between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday –Friday
Completes daily duties responsibly and safely with respect to private and personal property
Readily communicates with staff, citizens, teammates, and builder/contractors as necessary
Maintains detailed records and reports of all inspections and compliance cases
Assists client staff and team members whenever necessary
Updates files, answers phone calls, and schedules inspections as necessary
Maintains ICC certifications and professional credentials. Secures additional ICC certifications, attends training opportunities, and consistently studies codes and standards as related to work requirements
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum 10 years' experience as a building construction inspector is required
Must have a valid Georgia driver's license
ICC Commercial Building Inspector certification (required)
Strong knowledge of building and related municipal codes, building inspection methods and techniques and construction materials, methods and techniques
Understanding of erosion and sedimentation control laws and Best Management Practices
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to operate work-related technology (laptop, tablet, iPhone) and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Capable of following directions and asking pertinent clarifying questions
Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and conduct
Self-disciplined and able to work without direct supervision
Works well with people and performs as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
Solves problems and has a positive attitude while establishing and maintaining relationships
Preferred
Supplemental additional training in building inspection, structural engineering, or a related field
An Associate's Degree in engineering, architecture, building inspection, or related field, or equivalent ICC certification level
