Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure and implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems

Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs

Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities

Manages professional employees and/or subordinate supervisors

Has accountability for the performance and results of a team or multiple teams within own area of specialization. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. The timeframe for objectives is typically annual in nature. Decisions and problem solving require the application of subject matter expertise and a firm understanding of the organization's policies and procedures

Provides technical and subject matter guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers. Baptist Health Information Services is actively seeking a manager for the Systems Analysis and Platform Engineering team

The Systems Analysis and Engineering Manager should be capable of work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities and is directly manage professional employees and team leads. This role requires a highly motivated leader who emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and a desire for continuous improvement

7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, with a focus on cloud computing, networking, storage, and virtualization

Healthcare experience

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Experience leading and managing the Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering team to develop and maintain enterprise cloud solutions, data center operations, network operations, storage systems, and server virtualization

Experience working with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security to develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for infrastructure management and security

Experience managing vendor relationships, evaluating new technology solutions, and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement

Strong technical knowledge of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs), data center operations, storage solutions, and server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
