Senior Repair Design Engineer (Onsite)
RTX is transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing innovative jet engines. The Senior Repair Design Engineer will be responsible for designing repairs for gas turbine engine parts and ensuring that these repairs meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the OEM parts
Research how damage affects gas turbine engine component operation and develop engineering-based solutions which will return damaged parts back to service
Create technical documents that provide the manufacturing organization the engineering requirements for repairs
Interface with commercial engine program managers to secure priorities and understand how the repair affects the engine fleet
Support the customer in the resolution of field supportability issues
Ensure repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of mechanical design or manufacturing engineering experience is required or 3+ years of experience with an Advanced degree
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Experience in the use of Unigraphics/NX or similar CAD application is required
Preferred
Exposure to cost and schedule management or team leadership is desired
Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, plating, plasma spray, welding or brazing is also desired
