Operations Supervisor, AWW Shift (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly
Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards
Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals
Coach employees to improve performance when needed
Maintain training, quality, and attendance records
Manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees
Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and optimized while meeting all safety requirements
Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety
Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly
Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld
Utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair
Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures
Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

Required

Advanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience

Preferred

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment
Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals
Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred
Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite
Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers
