Research/Lab Technician II

The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Research/Lab Technician II for a full-time NIH-funded research position. The primary objective is to study salivary gland inflammation, fibrosis, and tissue regeneration using mouse and cell culture models.

Responsibilities

Maintain and manage animal colonies
Conduct experiments utilizing mouse and cell culture
Perform confocal microscopy, western blotting, and flow cytometry
Ordering laboratory supplies
Assisting with the writing of methods for papers and grant applications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
Ability to maintain and manage animal colonies
Experience conducting experiments utilizing mouse and cell culture
Experience performing confocal microscopy, western blotting, and flow cytometry
Ability to order laboratory supplies
Assisting with the writing of methods for papers and grant applications
