Junior Mechanical CAD Designer
Industrial Kinetics, Inc. is a family-owned company that designs and builds engineered to order conveyor and material handling systems. In this role, you'll learn about CAD standards and design processes while assisting in developing custom machine concepts and supporting senior engineers with design calculations.

Responsibilities
Begin with SolidWorks modeling, detail drawings, and subassembly design
Learn IK conveyor standards, sheet-metal design, and fabrication constraints
Support senior engineers with design calculations and mechanism development
Assist in developing custom machines and conveyor concepts
Produce clean, accurate fabrication and assembly drawings
Participate in design reviews, brainstorming, and problem-solving sessions
Learn how designs move through fabrication, assembly, installation, and service
Grow into full project ownership (concept design fabrication installation)
Qualification
Required
This position requires applicants to be legally authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available at this time
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
SolidWorks proficiency (academic experience acceptable)
Fundamental understanding of machine elements
Curiosity, mechanical intuition, and eagerness to learn
Interest in conveyor systems, automation, or custom machinery
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desire to grow into a senior engineering role (not a pure CAD role)
