Responsibilities
Own sourcing strategy and vendor relationships (both first-party vendors and third-party vendors) for U.S., Canada, and Mexico-based soft home categories, including: Rugs, Utility Bedding, and Mattresses
Lead vendor onboarding, quality reviews, and commercial negotiations to improve PCOGS and margins
Drive operational rigor across the domestic supply base: improve lead times, on-time delivery, and production SLAs
Launch a mattress program from scratch in collaboration with Merchandising and Planning
Identify and onboard new vendor partners with scalable capacity, consistent quality, and competitive cost structure
Visit vendor partners regularly to build long-term relationships, troubleshoot issues, and conduct quality reviews
Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, and Operations to ensure product launches and replenishment run smoothly
Ensure ethical sourcing and compliance standards are upheld across all partners
Qualification
Required
8+ years of sourcing experience, with a strong track record in soft home (utility bedding, rugs, mattresses)
Deep commercial acumen with proven ability to manage vendor performance and reduce cost of goods
Experience working directly with domestic factories and supplier networks in North America
Self-directed and resourceful; thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Based in the U.S. with ability to travel 2–3 times/month for vendor meetings and factory visits
Preferred
Bonus: experience launching a mattress or bedding program at a DTC or omni-channel brand
