EHS Project Manager

They are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Project Manager to provide leadership and technical assistance on EHS matters, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while promoting a culture of safety and environmental performance.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of EHS on strategies to minimize risk and enhance workplace safety
Develop, implement, and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize EHS programs across Sofidel America
Coordinate EHS audits and assessments and serve as ISO program coordinator and document controller
Ensure compliance with ISO standards through training, documentation, and audits
Identify gaps in EHS procedures, track trends, and implement improvements
Promote EHS culture through communication, training, and employee engagement
Generate and present data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Support site-level EHS personnel through coaching, guidance, and technical expertise
Lead by example to drive a proactive culture of prevention, risk reduction, and compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field (or equivalent education/experience)
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in health, safety, or environmental roles within an industrial setting
Strong knowledge of ISO standards and compliance management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel up to 20%
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures, paper dust, and noise levels
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye and ear protection, and reflective vests
