The Automation Engineering Intern will work with developers and QA teams to enhance fixed income data products, focusing on test automation and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

Understand business requirements

Design test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for new and existing features

Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts

Execute manual and automated tests as needed

Participate in code reviews for automation and provide feedback

Collaborate closely with developers and QA to triage defects and ensure high-quality releases

Contribute to improving test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and QA standards

Provide clear and detailed feedback on test results, defects, and potential risks

Participate in software design

Provide time estimates

Required

Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master's degree program in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar from an accredited college or university. This internship is intended for students with 1-2 semesters to complete until their degree is conferred

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently without employment visa sponsorship required now or in the future

Understanding of various data structures and algorithms

Exposure to JAVA programming language

Basic knowledge of enterprise RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

Experience with one of the following Enterprise Operating Systems: Linux, Windows

Experience in development/willingness to learn Java based server-side framework (Spring Boot)

Understanding of browser-based technologies/willingness to learn (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, AngularJS, AJAX)

Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and problem resolution skills

Team player and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to function well in a competitive, challenging environment, and the ability to deal with changing priorities
