Responsibilities

Preparing and maintaining all bid documentation
Traveling to job locations to confirms project site conditions
Leading bid strategy and presentation discussions
Following awarded contracts to monitor extra work items
Procuring materials and/or credits
Assisting field personnel in developing and/or recommending change orders to scope as needed
Ensuring that bid deadlines and customer presentation requirements are met
Proactively identifying and suggesting solutions for known or anticipated construction problems to minimize cost and reduce risk
Providing insight to thought leadership in the continuous improvement of methodology, tools, and approaches using fundamentals of H&M Project Management practices
Interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders on planning and scheduling related items and functions, including reporting requirements, progress reporting, complaint schedules, etc
Communicating with influence and presenting effectively to client group and team members

Required

Experience in leading the estimating activity for mid to large scale projects
Advanced knowledge of construction and utility industry practices
Proficient in reading and performing take-offs of engineered drawings
Experienced with relevant estimating software and MS Office Suite
Highly complex problem-solving skills
Highly organized and able to adapt to complex schedules and changes
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Must be highly adaptable to new processes and procedures
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Relevant Experience
4 to 10+ years of experience submitting bids, proposals for electrical distribution project scope
