Director, SMB Sales

The Director of SMB Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive customer engagement, loyalty, and advocacy while leading a team focused on building relationships with customers and delivering value throughout the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Fully own revenue attainment from key accounts and scaled book advertisers using our self-serve ads platform
Drive account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and renewal strategies
Lead, mentor, develop and hire a team of key account managers and customer success managers
Develop and execute account management strategy that drives activation, product adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction
Define tools and processes that allow internal and external workflows to scale
Establish and evolve key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of SMB key accounts and customer success initiatives, regularly analyzing performance data and making data-driven recommendations for optimization
Effectively communicate customer needs across cross-functional partners to help shape marketing messages and product roadmap

Required

Proven experience (8+ years) working in digital sales or account management, with a track record of driving business growth and customer retention within the SMB segment
Experience in first line management (2+ years) in sales, account management or customer success
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

Preferred

Acute understanding of SMB market dynamics, customer needs, buying behaviors, and competitors' SMB product solutions
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing sales, account management or customer success teams
Data-driven and customer-centric leader who aligns strategy and vision to proven customer needs
Skilled in change management and process optimization in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
