Penn State University is seeking a part-time PSL Receptionist for their learning labs. The role involves greeting students, performing data entry, maintaining cleanliness, and training new hires, all while supporting the university's educational services.

Responsibilities

Greet, check in, and guide students coming in for tutoring to their assigned areas

Perform essential data entry to record student`s time, course, and location of tutoring

Regularly check learning centers to ensure they are clean and sanitized, and equipment is operational

Address unclean or unsafe conditions and alert appropriate personnel to malfunctioning equipment

Check supply levels regularly, replenish supplies, and inform supervisor when supplies are low

Respond to voice mails and collaborate with other receptionists, tutors, and staff members to ensure internal and public signage is current and accurate

Attend new student orientations, informational resource fairs, first year seminars, and classroom meetings to speak about the services Penn State Learning offers

Train new hires to perform receptionist tasks and effectively communicate policies and procedures to students, tutors, staff, and other receptionists
