Accounting & Billing Administrative Assistant

The Accounting & Billing Administrative Assistant will support daily accounting operations, manage vendor payments, and assist with billing functions to ensure smooth revenue flow.

Responsibilities

Greeting visitors and supporting department staff
Issuing and tracking company assets (cellphones, laptops, credit cards, and keys)
Ordering office supplies and managing copier and postage needs
Handling department mail and back up interoffice courier duties
Monitoring the team accounting inbox
Data input assistance for Accounting into a computerized accounting system
Scanning and distributing documents for the Billing Department
Assisting remote billing staff with form processing and general inquiries
Cross-training for backup support across the Accounting Department

Qualification

Accounting degreeComputerized ledger systemsExcel skillsFund/cost accountingAnalytical skillsAccounting terminologyNonprofit accounting experience

Required

Associate Degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience with computerized ledger systems
Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with fund/cost accounting structures
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and travel between locations as needed
Valid Alaska driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

Experience in nonprofit or fund accounting
Knowledge of accounting terminology and strong analytical skills
