Responsibilities
Greet and assists students and visitors
Assist faculty and students with travel arrangements
Issue keys and maintain key log
Support faculty work on committees
Assist faculty with paperwork and tracking of international visiting scholar
Place, track, and receive HokieMart and Purchasing Card orders
Monitor and answer the main office phone
Qualification
Required
Administrative support experience in an academic or professional office environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work history that would exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to effectively manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
Considerable experience in an academic office environment or education/training in related field
Knowledge of VT policies, procedures, and systems such as Hokie Mart, Banner, Chrome River, Commerce Manager, Micro Strategy Reporting, and DEPART
