Plant Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

They are seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the inspection, installation, and repair of production machinery and tools, as well as building and rebuilding equipment for manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety procedures and protocols while servicing or maintaining equipment
Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools
Utilize Plex to document appropriate downtime codes
Troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment
Use the following equipment safely: Basic Level Hand Tools, Hand and Surface Grinders, Hydraulic Jack, Welders, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, Forklift, Drill Presses
Basic troubleshooting of both welding equipment and systems
Basic knowledge/troubleshooting of lubrication processes (correct type, function, when to use, etc)
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality
Basic knowledge of welding applications (MIG, Spot, Stud, etc.)
Complete and manage work orders via the Plex systems
Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to preventative maintenance schedules (with guidance from a Weld Maintenance Mechanic level II or level III)
Basic level robotic experience (robot movements, navigate/troubleshoot common basic level issues utilizing the teach pendant
Basic level knowledge of lubrication processes (functionality, correct type, when to use)
Ability to use common hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, feeler gages, etc)
Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow
Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of customers
Maintains knowledge and skills to perform job effectively
Looks for good in others; works collaboratively with others; shares information and knowledge
Updates and relays pertinent information to oncoming shift
Is at work when scheduled and ensures coverage when absent; takes timely breaks/lunches; uses time wisely
Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions
Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including Saturday and Sunday

Required

High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. word, excel, outlook, etc.)
Minimum of two (2) years of Machine Repair experience
Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics experience
Basic understanding of relevant Robotic controls and processes
Has high standards of performance for self. Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes. Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work
